Drop Leaf Table

My favorite thing is to search great finds on the curb of people’s homes. The things I can drag home and recreate to beautiful new looks. Turning trash into treasure. Other times, when the curbs are bare and I’m having no luck, I find something very special on Facebook Marketplace. This drop leaf table was one such find! I loved this table. I didn’t want to sell it yet it was deceptively larger than it appeared and just would not fit in my home. Eventually I gave it up and allowed my brother to call it his own. This $15 table turned into a fabulous $100 gem with just paint and love!

This table was full of character and came with some bumps and bruises but I loved the flexibility of it’s size with drop leafs, the drawer to give some storage and the straight lines in design. I couldn’t pass it up. A crack along the front side of it was delicately filled with wood putty. It’s imperfections are exactly what made it perfect. I didn’t want to part with it but eventually caved and sent it home with my brother who needed the flexibility this precious piece provides.
