Going farmhouse style means you need a chandelier. Hard to believe we had these when we first bought the house and here I was 20 years later scouring Facebook Marketplace looking for one I could transform. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase one very cheap ($10) and have another gifted to me for free.
The chandelier hanging in my prayer room (which slowly is becoming my painting room as well) is perfect. I love the classy and chic touch it brings to the room meant to do bible study and talk to the Lord. It’s probably one of my favorite changes to the home makeover!
For this project I used:
- White Chalky Spray Paint from Hobby Lobby (but Lowes also has it)
- Gloss Spray Top Coat (Lowes)
- Tip: I hung it from a Shepherds Hook in the front yard which made it pretty easy to spray and gave me access to all angles.

Every cute chandelier needs a ceiling medallion too! Give it a touch of color for some pop!
